Camping makes for good stories. I would know. I married an Eagle Scout, and later, with two daughters, spent 12 years as a Girl Scout leader. Retreating to the wilderness, or at least the Alabama woods, enables us to connect with our family and friends minus the pull of cell phones, computers, and the daily stress of work and school.  In 2017, as I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training, I realized the lessons we take away from unplugging in the wilderness allow a fresh perspective on life. Follow along on our adventures and discover the teachable moments of outdoor living.

Cori Yonge lives in Fairhope, Alabama, a small town on Mobile Bay. While she currently spends her days in the corporate world, on weekends she often trades her professional attire for camping or yoga clothes. Cori and her husband Lynn have two young adult daughters who are also accomplished campers and outdoor enthusiasts.
